Product Description
Thick-film thermistor elements on alumina substrates provide temperature-variable attenuation, enabling passive gain compensation across temperature extremes. With a rugged construction, polymer protective coating, and operation from DC to 6 GHz, TVA series temperature compensating attenuators are ideal for RF and microwave circuits, supporting amplifier linearization, gain stabilization, level control, and temperature-sensitive signal conditioning applications.
These attenuators are available in both negative and positive temperature coefficient versions, with attenuation values from 1 to 10 dB in 1 dB steps. They are offered with bondable gold terminations for gold-wire or gold-ribbon attachment, as well as solder-plated finishes for surface-mount assembly. The thick-film resistor network determines attenuation based on thermistor material properties, laser-trimmed resistance values, and substrate thermal characteristics. These devices can fully replace imported products of the same series and type.
