Product Description STCA series smart temperature compensation attenuators provide temperature-variable attenuation based on thick-film thermistor elements on alumina substrates, enabling passive gain compensation across temperature extremes. With a compact footprint, rugged construction, protective coating, and operation from DC to 6 GHz, STCA series attenuators are ideal for RF and microwave circuits, supporting amplifier linearization, gain stabilization, level control, and temperature-sensitive signal conditioning applications. These attenuators are available with negative temperature coefficients from -0.003 to -0.010 dB/dB/°C in 0.001 dB/dB/°C increments, with attenuation values from 1 to 10 dB in 1 dB steps. They are offered with multiple mounting configurations—planar, single wrap, triple wrap, and gold terminations—to support both surface-mount assembly and gold-wire or gold-ribbon bonding. The thick-film resistor network determines attenuation based on thermistor material properties, laser-trimmed resistance values, and substrate thermal characteristics. These devices can fully replace imported products of the same series and type.
